acupuncture for lower back pain?

by anxietysucks, May 10, 2007 12:00AM
I have l4-5 disc slippage with nerve compression, along with l5-s1 disc slippage with s-1 nerve compression. I have run the whole gammet of treatments, you name it I've probably done it. I have been reading up on acupuncture, they claim on almost every website you look on that they have an 85% success rate for complete remission? Has anyone done this? is it worth my time and $?

Hi ,I have also done some sessions of accupuncture for the pain and I must tell you that it did not work for me ,I am still having the pain and it is getting worse by the day.
I hope that it will help you , at least you can try it ,you never can know.

Can acupuncture help?

Dependent on where the inflammation is Acupuncture can help with back pain.  Acupuncture works well when the inflammation is outside of the spinal column.  Acupuncture does not work when the inflammation is in the spinal column itself.

So,I don't think acupuncture can have great help for you.
