for 2 weeks- burn/itch/tingle on Penis

Three weeks ago I had protected anal and vaginal sex with a girl I did not know well. She also performed unprotected Oral sex on me. About 4 days after the encounters I found out she had many sexual partners in the last 6 months (at least 15) and had an abortion a few weeks ago. I immediately started to worry. Since about this time I have felt an odd feeling at the

tip of my penis. It feels like its coming from inside the head, a tingle/burn sensation. It actually bothers me less when I urinate. No bumps or pimples or visible differences on my penis or in the penis opening. Just an irritating burn/itch/tingle sensation. I am sure you are saying that I should get tested, which I will. What do you think this could be? What

should I be tested for? The girl told me that she had been tested and had nothing, obviously that's worthless info although I do believe she had been tested lately because of the abortion.

Thanks so much!

My guess is that it's nothing.  Your own acknowledgment that you first noticed symptoms only after you learned there was reason for concern suggests anxiety more than anything else.  On the other hand, your symptoms sound like they could be due to urethritis (urethral infection), the most common causes of which are nongonococcal urethritis (due to chlamydia or other bacteria) or gonorrhea (which sounds much less likely).

You are right to not necessarily trust your partner's statement she recently tested negative.  However, most providerrs checking on women before or following abortion probably would have tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea.

Tell your symptoms and sexual exposure history to your health care provider and let him/her decide what tests to do.  But most likely s/he will examine you and take urine or swab tests for gonorrhea, chlamydia, and tests for urethritis.
