Side effects of Adderall

I have been taking Adderall for ADHD almost 4 years. I take more miligrams than people twice my size. At first I only took 20mgs a day. Now my doctor prescribes me 40mgs a day before noon. And sometimes in order to concentrate and stay focused I need more. I guess I'm wondering if its just going to keep getting worse until I'm taking a bottle a day. I don't want to become addicted but I'm scared that is what's happening. Plus I wanted to know the long/short term side effects of Adderall. Thanks.
