Sudden vision change

by Stefania311, Nov 28, 2008 12:22AM
I was doing laundry tonight and suddenly the room seemed to start spinning. I leaned on the washer and felt like my eyes were crossing and everything seemed "wrong" -- like I was seeing things backwards, or double. It only lasted about 6 to 8 seconds. I do have a history of migraines where I get a visual aura (flashing, bright lights in one or both eyes) before I get the headache.

Dear Stefania311,

I would recommend that you seek the care of your eyeMD to determine the cause of this spinning. Although this could occur with migraines, the timecourse seems short.

You should probably see your GP too. Sudden dizzy spells can indicate trouble.
