How to find a potential birth mother.

by Hoping4_2, Nov 28, 2008 10:38PM
Has anyone ever looked for a potential birth mother on their own? We have been trying to concieve for 5 years and lost 2 pregnancies last year. I'm not sure if I can risk losing anymore as it is so heart breaking so now I am looking into adoption. I am interested in open adoption and was wondering is it possible to find one on my own?

I have seen couples post in papers.  You can try that.  That is really the only way I know or sign up on some websites?  Honestly, I am a birth mother and I would have never thought of placing my child with people who weren't screened or who I didn't talk to.  I think finding one on your own will be very hard.  "most" birth parents will not give their child to just any body.  At least with an agency, the parents have been screened.
