I need relief from my achy burning back

Don't even know where to start, but I must start. I started having this pain two to four days afer giving birth, almost six yeay ago, to my third and last child. It happened, as I was sitting in the middle of my bed without any back support wih my leg wide open just finishing with my meal, I was about to get up from the position I was  sitting by first lifting the leg I thought to be the closest to to edge of the bed which was my left. As I lifted this leg up and about to turn my other leg toward the edge of the bed, suddenly I HEARD  A CRACK THEN FELT A HUGE PAIN I will never forget which was between my thighs, cervix way inside of me below my stomach above my vaginal on the right side. (now, mind you I had just giving birth four days before and  had experienced a type of labour the doctors referred to as "back labour" which I didn't experienced with my  two previous vaginal childbirths)  Though the back labour was like someone was triying to pass a human head or a large bowling ball through my anus,  but the sound of crack and pain I felt on my bed that day was escruciating vivid . I screamed so loud that both my husband and sister -in-law had to run up the stairs fast to investigate what they heard. The only thing I could do was point to my vaginal area and scream for the pain to go away and told them that I heard a cracked sound. We called the doctor who had delivered my child immidiately to informed her of the pain, only for her to tell me it was just my body trying to readjust it self back to the way it was before pregnancy. Now, if I hadn't given birth before and this was my first child birth, I would have believed her, but ihis wasn't my first time. This began my saga of the pain I've beign experiencing since. What could be the cause and is there anything you can recommend I  should do or try, since my doctors have done battries of tests but to no avails. I just received a letter from my primary phisiciain today, advising to get intouch with my OBGYN because my most recent cat scan shows "prominent cervix and uterus". I dont even know what this means. The pain is ever present and it's usually simotaneous from my lower right abdomen to the waist area to the back with penetrating heat and burning sensation. Even if I take some of the prescibed med my Dr. Rx, the pain may go down but the penatrating heat  andburning sensation linger. A neurology had Rx  a med called neurontin or gabapentin w/ a 800 mg motrin IB to help with the pain. Sometimes I deliberately try to withstand the pain by not taking the pills  not wanting to get addicted to the meds. Besides I hate the  adverse effect of the the "gabapentin" while I'm on it because I'm always sluggish and sleeppy but it does work only for a short period of time and only to take it again sometimes with the IB. I can't sleep on either of my sides for a long period  of time especially on my left side because the pain area is high or maybe suspended to high in the air I suppose while on my left side. I'm constantly having to hold on to my side  with my cold hands because it feels so hot only to quickly remove my hand because it too hot to have it remain there any longer. I always felt that I have to apply some king of pressure but the relief I get from applying the pressure is always temporary I have to remove thepressure because it irritating to my hot and burning skin. The pain from my back alway radiate down to my leg and and ankle with great burning sensation and  heat. Drs. have done batrries of tests like I've previously mentioned. I even had my appendix removed last year but to no relief. Can anyone give me a name or face to this faceless and nameless  afflicting-pain I've being suffering silently for the last six years? Im even starting to wonder if this pain is just  in my head. But the crack I heard six years ago on my bed says otherwise. And by the way', I've falling down the stairs twice. One immediately after givig birth to my first child, and the second after giving brth to my second child which my doctors are aware of and had told me was very normal in women immediatelly after giving birth because our reflexes are not as sound as they should. I had also had a minor acicident on the freeway two or three years after the birth of my first child roughly ten years ago from which I sufferred "whiplash" and I went for chiropractic treatment. Could any of the things I had sufferred in the past  be a culprit  in my present dilemma? prayerfully waiting, sedaramola

I don't know if this information will help you or not but I will pass it on. My daughter had a lot of pain after her child was born. She only had 1 child. It went on for years the child is now 15. She went through exploratory surgery, you name it. Finally, they gave her a total histerectomy (in her early 30's). She still had the pain, it had started to affecting her back. They had not done an MRI on her the whole time, I guess they thought it was with soft tissue not bone. After the MRI they found it was the pelvic bone. I never knew this and I am 58 and had 3 children, but the pelvic bone actually spreads open for the birth. Hers did not go back into place properly and that was what caused the whole thing. She had a total historectomy for nothing. She had been to many, many drs. She had progressed to back problems before they found it and now has discs that are messed up in the surrounding area. I think since the bones were out of line for so many years it caused the discs problem. Go to a dr that deals with the skeleton or a pain management dr and take your xrays (pain management normally is a last resort when the drs can help you with your pain). The MRI does not show everything with the discs, but the pain management dr I go to can feel your bones, etc and tell if something is out of line. Mine is amazing. He knew there were problems, but the disc problem did not show up. He did a disco gram, which is dye injected into the discs. He fills it to make pressure and then you grade the pain. He kepts track of the pain locations then you go get another type of xray (I forget what it is called) and he can see everything. It was painful because of the pressure on hurting discs. It was a lot more than I thought. Then he injected medication at a later date, and I can tell you it was well worth the pain. Hope some of this info helps you. I never had hot areas and neither did my daughter, so I don't know if it could be infection or what. I would get another opinion before I let them do any cutting or removing parts. The burning you describe is indicative of a nerve (usually your sciatica) being pinched, I have lived with this daily for the past 10 years, I have aching, shap shooting pains in ny back with burning, tingling and numbness down my entire left leg, When it gets to my foot, it's cold as ice. Like you I cannot sleep on either side very long and sometimes just resting on my flat back, flat on a cold surface, such as a tile floor is the only way I've found relief,
I've been through the spinal injections for th epain, have been on pain meds for the last 4 years and have finally decided that enough is enough.I quit the meds and am starting to become clear headed agaiin but it's been hell, a living hell. You don't know what pain
