You are right, though... it is helpful to have a social network support. Can you join an autism support group in your town/city? Autreat happens once a year too, doesn't it? Like in summertime? Maybe people with aspergers or autism might be able to hook you up with some groups. My daughter is 3... so I haven't gotten that far yet.

I actually started an autism support group in Kansas City. There was a need and there was no one to fulfill it. There are many groups starting up for teenagers to help with their social needs.

I can feel rather happy until I start to reach out and try to seek interaction with other humans. Then it can fall apart. For me it seems the less I interact with people, the better it is. Less is more. I tend to open up too freely and then offend a person once that happens.
