4 month old with sore throat and cough

My daughter is 4 months old and is starting to sound congested with her coughing. Her older 4 year old brother is just getting over a chest cold and i don't think they were separated quite good enough. She has not had a fever yet and is eating like usual. What are some measure we could take to head off anything serious? Would a room humidifier help? Thank You.
