when someone is diagnosed with af when you monitor/measure there pulse will it be regular.

Newly diagnosed AF patients go back and forth between sinus rhythm and atrial fibrillation.  When their HR is regular, they are most likely in sinus rhythm.  When it's irregular, they are highly likely in AF.
