Peripheral Neuropathy, please Help!

by Sha_f, Nov 29, 2008 10:43PM
Hello

I was diagnosed with stage 1 Peripheral Neuropathy last year, doctor order a few blood tests, my B12 level was normal (close to the lower end)and an MRI from my spine, I started having these painful tingling (pins and needle) feelings in both of my big toes then it spread to the toes next to big toes. my neurologist said this is Idiopathic, meaning he can not find an underlying cause. he's gave me B100 complex which contains B6 B12 and a whole bunch of other B vitamins to see if it improves. and that's all I've been on for the past 11 months, my symptoms are getting worse. Recently I have been having shooting pain in my arms, mostly right arm, the tip of my fingers get very painful and I don't know what to do. Am I supposed to just let this progress? I put pressure on it most of the time but sometimes it gets so bad I can't sleep at nights, what can I do? what's the next step, I will appreciate any suggestion on this.

Normal MRI don't means nothing in the spine,It seems you have little problem around C5/C6 and L5/S1, possibly, just soft tissue inflammation.it probably is time to consult with another reputable physician. who can help you determine your next step or who you need to see. Good luck!
