Figuring out How did I contracted the HPV virus

My ex girlfriend and I went out for 2 and half years, about 14 months through the relationship she came positive for hpv. I had a lot of doubts on her, that she wasnt honest with me almost since the begining. About 2 months of being diagnosed she developed genital warts, 4 months after I developed genital warts. I know that the could be a posibility that I could it infected her, but My questions is that if she developed genital warts before me. does that means that she passed it to me? or that could it be factor where I got it from? I understand that its too late blamed eachother who got it from who? thank you!

To be honest there is really no point in racking your brain to find out where the virus came from, because hpv virus can lay dorment in your body for yrs with no signs of gential warts you can have it and not even know it,but usually the virus will take 6 months to a yr before any signs with appear.
It really dont matter who started to show signs before the other in trying to figure out who gave it to who because the virus feeds of your immune system so you can develop genital warts at anytime,but some people have a strong immune system that can fight the virus off and never show signs......so
You both can try to think back to your past relationships,one night stands,etc to try and find where you or her could have contracted the virus.....buts its usually the best to leave it alone and move on with your life because it will drive you crazy....
