nissen fundoplication

by Babe1949, Nov 30, 2008 09:16AM
I had a nissen fundoplication about 4 years ago and now I have symptoms of severe acid reflux, like bad sore throat, pressure in the throat and chest and congestion, just like I had before the surgery, but now it's worse.  Has anyone had this happen and have they tried over the counter Zantac for relief?

Hi,
24 hours pH monitoring test and esophageal manometry are to be done to see the status of lower esophageal sphincter and acid erflux if any.
Further treatment depends on the findings of these tests.
